8/23/08 Saturday: The Queen would be proud!

We (Mom, Deni, Jaime and I) got the ok from our boat captain to take the day off yesterday and head into London (basically that meant we would not be called up at the last second and told to swim). It was great. We took the train in and landed at Victoria station. We went to Buckingham Palace where everything was set up for the pass over of the Beijing Olympics to London. The energy was high in the round about. We will be having a large street party in Dover today to celebrate. Very exciting. After the palace we went to see Big Ben, Parliament, the Tower Bridge and the London Bridge. Finally we decided it was time to head home. We rode a dysfunctional train and it took forever!!!

When we got back we woke George up because it was time for him to sign the walls of the White Horse. He and Suzanne were so excited!! We invited John and his girlfriend down as well with us to have a beer and sign the wall. They came down a bit later. It was so great watching them sign and seeing their faces. They were both just so excited!

My turn still to come!!!
